Hours in, hours on the invoice
We bill for the time we work, reported per week. If a week turns out lighter than planned, the invoice is lighter too.
The hourly rate covers the actual engineering: writing code, reviewing it, running it, and the documentation that lets your team take over.
Short reviews are often the cheapest way to start. A week of focused work usually tells you more than a month of workshops.
Longer engagements are planned in blocks with a fixed number of hours per week, so the cost is predictable for both sides.

Questions about price
What does the rate actually depend on?
The calculator uses 1 000 SEK per hour as a plain example. Short notice, on call responsibility and work that touches production under pressure push it up. Longer, well scoped engagements push it down. We agree on the rate in writing before starting.
What does the estimate not include?
Travel outside Skåne, cloud costs and licences for third party tools. Everything else, including the writing of documentation and handover, is billed as normal hours.
Can we agree on a fixed price?
For a bounded piece of work with a clear definition of done, yes. We usually start with a short paid discovery so the fixed price is based on the real system instead of a guess.
How do you invoice?
Monthly, in arrears, with a time report per week so you can see where the hours went. 30 days net.
Why does a full year not show 2 080 hours?
52 weeks at 40 hours would mean billing every calendar hour of the year. In practice a consultant bills about 45 of those weeks, after vacation and public holidays. The calculator scales the length you pick to billable weeks, so a full-time year lands around 1.8M SEK instead of a naive 2.08M.
